At Vidhyadaan Foundation, we believe in expanding the horizons of our students by inspiring them with the wonders of science and space exploration. Our ISRO Visit and Rocketry Session events are designed to foster a deep interest in science and demonstrate that becoming a scientist is an achievable and exciting career path.
In our earlier initiative, we organized a visit to ISRO, where 150 enthusiastic students had the opportunity to learn about space missions like Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan. The highlight of the visit was an inspiring session with ISRO President Tapan Misra, who shared invaluable insights and spent quality time with the students. This event provided a foundational understanding of rocketry and space science, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds.
Seven years later, we reignited this passion with a three-day rocketry session. Collaborating with former ISRO instructors, our students engaged in hands-on activities where they assembled paper model rockets and PVC pipe rockets. The climax of this session was the historic launch of three student-built rockets into the open sky—an unprecedented event for slum children in Gujarat. This remarkable experience not only enhanced their scientific knowledge but also boosted their confidence and aspirations.
Through these initiatives, we aim to convey to our students that dreaming of becoming a scientist is not only possible but also a worthy and exciting pursuit. By providing practical experiences and inspirational mentorship, we strive to nurture the next generation of innovators and scientists.
